Queen Vic

100_0259

In 1851 Queen Victoria visited Heaton Park.

This statue in front of Salford Museum commemorates this visit.

80,000 well wishers turned out to welcome her.

This is a test page, to prove to myself that I can take a photograph with my new, very impressive camera, (a Valentine’s gift from the freaky deaky Dutch man), upload the images, and then import them into my blog.

Easier said than done when technophobia reigns.
